He is going to be... But not yet. His game is yet to be as fluid as Bryant's. Well Kobe could drill shots from anywhere from any defender. He proved it in the American exhibition game where he drilled a shot off while James himself is defending. James have to improve tremendously on his perimeter game, because if all he can do is cut to the basket he'll get mugged inside (example of which is the recently concluded Finals where he didn't exploit the Spurs who keep giving him space for a jump shot). James also have to develop his teammates more, much like Steve Nash has done with Amare and the Suns. Yes he's a good passer but he should push his teammates more to get better. So again Lebron is going to be the best but not for now...

I agree that he is the best player in Nba today since he leads his team to Nba finals with really weak roster. The guy is really a complete player who can play every aspect of Basketball. However,I am also sure that he is not the best scorer in the league.(Kobe is the best) In order to compare Kobe with Lebron you should make a distinction between being a great scorer and a great player. In this regard,Kobe is by far the best scorer in the league but if we are dealing with the question;Who is the best player? The answer will definitely be LEBRON.
But Lebron must improve his long range shooting if he wants to be the candidate for ALL TIME BEST...

Well....you forgot that the East last year was horribly weak! Almost all of the western conference teams that played in the playoffs last year could have beaten the Cavs if they were sent to the East. Then the Miami had Dwyane Wade still semi-injured, which would have definitely been a contender against the Cavs. Plus, did I forget to mention they got swept. Lebron is one heck of a player, but don't start calling him the best. Still needs to work on his jumpshot and defense. I would put Kobe as #1, but Lebron is not far away, probably my #2.

Tim duncan is the best player in the NBA. He isnt the flashiest he is the best fundamentally sound player in the league. think about this. He was 2 blocks from a quadruple double in game 6 of a finals series. he has lead his team to championships on a regular basis. TP and manu are good and dave robinson was awsome but for TD to do whats he's done is amazing especially in a league designed for athletic fast big guys. He is special. i'd put Kobe second but his attitude lets him down. Le Bron has the potential to be the best eva. Physically he is more dominant than jordan and if his skills keep improving the way they are cleveland could be in for some titles. keep gooden and hughes and get rid of the rest.

man its hard to say.. Did Lebron James put on a good show in the final when spurs marked him tightly? Yes Lebron is good i'd say he's really talented but he's still lack of experience and has a long way more to go. He will probably improve more say 5 years later and that time maybe he's able to get a MVP award.

damn lebron is simply the best..... at the rate that he is going, he is probably the best ever no one can disagree with that! at the age of 18 he went to the nba and made an impact! compared to kobe who was just a bench warmer at the same age...... on his 3rd yr in the league, being 21 yrs old he shouldve been the MVP!!!!!! and if im not mistaken jordan was just starting his career at that age.. or is still in college.

LeBron James went to the Finals and came in second. Tim Duncan went to the Finals and came in first. Therefore Tim Duncan is better.
