There are different proxies you can try, but if you do that, it will get logged by the computer software and alert the staff that you have intentionally tried to access sites that are blocked for a reason. You'll likely lose your computer priviledges if you do so.

To the person below, it's not censorship. My fiance works as a computer IT manager over a number of schools, and he has blocked sites in place because A - viruses. One virus infects a singe computer, and in 24 hours, all computers on the network are infected.

And B - Pornography. Schools would be sued if minors under the age of 18, (21 in some parts) were able to look up porn.

Not censorship if an idiot put a java script virus on their myspace, and it infected all the computers, resulting in all the computers being taken away. So, it's not censorship.

I know you don't want to hear this, but my advice is that you shouldn't even try because that is against the acceptable use policy at your school. They have sites blocked for safety and security reasons. They own the computers and the internet connection so they get to say how they're used.

Trying to bypass their security is considered hacking and will get you banned from using any of their computers and probably even suspended or expelled.

They can see and are tracking everything you do so you WILL get caught. Not being able to use the computers at all would suck way worse than just using them to view allowed sites - wouldn't it?

go to http://www.oddproxy.com

If the Website is not blocked, type in the myspace url. It will be slow but is the easiest method to circumvent the school proxy and firewall, rather than setting up an http tunnel on your home pc and ssh into it.

► http://answers.egrab.com/links/myspace_unblock.htm is great for unblocking myspace. You can use it wherever you want because it's anonymous surfing.

usually using firefox alone can bypass IE blocks, but it depends on your network admin and what is causing this. Usually there are sites that will list active proxies if you require them

You may want to try out a networking site that isn't blocked by your school.

I know one that tends to work (because it's still relatively small) is http://yuniti.com

open google and go to language tools.

translate the webpage in the goggle window from French to English -- it's not in French so it will display in English.

Your school computer thinks you're in Google language tools.

note: as educators prepare to slam me for providing this info. Censorship is bad. All censorship is bad. Ban censorship. Or, you may feel free to disagree with my feelings on censorship.

Depends if you want to get suspended or not.

If you do it and get caught you might get chucked out of school and they will do something about it so you cant do it anymore. (then you will get blammed from all your mates)
