When with my Family @ Christmas, I feel joy to be with the over 40 people in my loved ones. I LOVE seeing the looks of the NUMEROUS young ones' faces when they open their gifts and play with the box-lol! The simple things in life are really what matter.....A lot of laughter with my family- We play Board games, and there are some CHEATERS in my clan. (You'd think we were playing for MONEY-lol!) We hang out and reminisce. Man, I love my Family. Each and every one of them are unique to me. I am blessed with the best. I truly am!
What makes me sad is that Christmas is so commercialized. It really is a downer when people buy you a gift, and you don't have the money to buy one for them. Christmas should be honoring the birth of Christ, not for all the presents under the tree. Many people become depressed during this time of year for a reason. Jesus is the reason for the season. The older I get, the more I realize this.
There are some families I know who do not even speak. Those people who are left alone become a part of our family's get togethers. We've adopted LOTS of "family" in recent years. The numbers grow each year. They are ALWAYS welcome in our big 'ol clan, welcomed with open arms.
Hope you have a Wonderful Christmas. Take care!

No. The day after Christmas is the worst though. It's the #1 day for suicides for a reason.
