Okay where I live there's no broadband internet. (I live in a new neighborhood). So I was wondering if wireless will work where I live. && if it does work what are some good wireless internet providers.

I'm sick and tired of Dial up!!!

AT&T /Cingular will have 3G GSM cellular WAN (wide area network aka internet), but may not have coverage in your area.

Check your coverage here
http://www.wireless.att.com/coverageviewer/popUp_3g.html

T-Mobile should have 3G on the WCDMA bands but has less coverage.

3G is 2.4Mbps download (which is fast an adequate for cellular). Get an unlimited plan (or nearly unlimited monthly bandwidth, depending on what you can afford).

They will give you a PCMCIA (or you buy one from them). You can then plug this card into a wireless router like this one (check compatibility first)

You plus the card into the router and you then get your 3G mobile cellular broadband on your personal LAN that you can share with many client PCs. With your subscription you can get 3G on your 3G enabled phone/PDA and get a separate card for your laptop.

3G won't be as fast as cable broadband (but may be faster than DSL depending on signal strength). It is however, more flexible because you can use it on the go and take advantage of multimedia streaming to your phone over the WAN using orb (from http://www.orb.com) or MyTunesRSS (share your iTunes library over the WAN).

You would need:
A Wireless Router
A Service Provider (AT&T, charter, depends on your location)
A modem (cable or dsl)
A matching usb for the router

If you mean routers, then it will be the same, if you mean like Glboal (cell phone, iPhone, etc) then it should work. I dont know if this is any faster though and it costs more, but if ur in a new neighbour hood you might have €$€$ to burn!
