Ok, Not to start a war here... Harleys had a following for awhile (recently not so) where it was cool to own one even if you never rode it. Notice how many harleys are being sold 3 to 10 years old and very little miles on them. The same age bike say a yamaha will have 5 to 10,000 miles each year. We call them parade bikes. Now that gas has gone up, people are dusting these bikes off and riding them. Most just dont have enough riding time under their belt, or havent ridden much in the past few years. So their "Learning" again.

All of the above.
Sometimes I ride slow, others faster.
I'm slower and easier in the turns riding two-up.
Usually I'm pretty easy, I like the 40 and 50 mph roads. I take the Interstate once in a while.
There are times I'll take the rough spots in the road at 60.
That would be riding hard. The suspension gets a little workout.

Well, baby, I ride the lady hard. She gets going, when I want her to, and she purrs when I ask her. I never abuse her, and I always give her a nice buffing, when she needs it. The rule of thumb with me is, treat the Harley, like I treat my ladies. Rock On!

I ride hard when I'm alone, I ease up when I ride in the pack and just match everyone's speed. I ride soft when it's just me and the ol' lady out for a putt.

i dont abuse it, but i dont ride like a 90 yr old either. i ride based on road/traffic conditions. in short, i ride with a brain in my head. so far this has kept me alive for over 10,000 miles, and i've run it quite aggressively thru the twisties of se ohio as long as the road is clean. to commit to a peg scrapping lean on any bike, and that tire finds just a smidgen of sand or gravel, down u go.

I go pretty easy on it.That was how I rode my other bikes too. When I'm riding I'm in no hurry to get anywhere.

The one and only Harley-Davidson I ever sat on was in my boat before I threw it overboard as an anchor for a marine
mooring bouy. I'd found it lifeless, cold, and hard in local junkyard while looking for something nicer but the price
won me over eventually; it probably looked better while
previous owner attempted a track crossing before BNSF
locomotive arrived...
