Oh MY Yes!
In February my Grams passed away...and I have NEVER been sadder in my life. My heart was broken, but there was so much relief that she was out of pain -- she had been ill...I was actually happy that she was not suffering any longer. But I miss her so very very much it is a physical pain. Her birthday would have been this coming Saturday...I may make her a cake anyway, and there is a happy sadness....We will celebrate the life of a great lady and the kids will enjoy the cake.
Peace be with you.

I believe that nothing is pure happiness or pure sadness.
There is always a tiny shadow of sadness hiding under happy moments as there is always a smiling, shining hope hidden under sadness.
