i mean there is always some person who says every band sucks. i mean i get it you cant love everything/ i dont personally love everything. but cant you put aside that sometimes bands may sell out. its sad but that doesnt mean they still dont make good music. such as things as my chemical romance. i think it is discusting how their fanbase consists of ppl who cant tell rock from pop and insist that they are now "hardcore: because of it (im not saying you cant like pop and like them too thats fine its your taste). but still their music is good. and if you think about it every band ever is bound to sell out sometime because they want to become widespread to share their music ( i kno some do it just for hte popularity im not naive). just explain why you hate bands such as this so much? i mean unless you hate their sound i get that im saying if you think they are winnnying and that sort of thing.

Want my advice? Grow thicker skin and quit worrying about what other people think. It doesn't matter what you like, there will always be someone else that doesn't. That is merely part of what makes us all unique creatures. I'd be more worried about poor grammar and spelling than meaningless opinions.

dude if you think about it, rock has become POP. Pop just means "popular culture". You gotta understand that in order to be a successful artist you need to write stuff that people can relate too and overall makes money. That is an art and talent in itself. I used to only like punk rock and heavy stuff but I'm opening up my mind to enjoy all genres and types of music. There is no such thing as selling out, there is only creating music that the mounds of people will like instead of specific group.. that is pop.

First of all, this an open forum where individuals express their opinions........not everyone is going to like everyone else's point of view. There will be clashes. Some people just don't like MCR. So what if they say it sucks.....who cares. The only opinion that should matter is your own.

What irks me (and probably many others) about this situation is that everyday there is about 10-20 'questions' (that I see) saying something like "OMG MCR is the best, all other music sucks.....etc" People do get tired of seeing this, so yes, they will make their OPINION known. There are questions all over the music section bashing others' likes and favorites. Its not just MCR and bands like them getting it.

I've been a local musician for the last 6 years and I can tell you that in the area I live in it is trendy for kids in the punk/rock/indie/emo scenes to only like bands that most people have generally never heard of and despise the more popular and successful bands. It's really kind of disappointing to see people talk trash on other bands because they think it will make them look like they are cool.

From strictly a musician's standpoint, I don't believe many bands of today have really great ability on the instruments they play. Since the invention of tabulature for the guitar, no one really plays from within their inner being. It is all just for show........ When I think of outstanding musicians, People like Eric Clapton or Eddie Van Halen come to mind because they are truly masters of a musical instrument (even if they are somewhat washed up). Good Luck, true musicianship is a thing of the past.

It just depends on your personal taste, i love most of the 'styles' of rock because certain songs stick out at me when i hear them, and yet even tho i love rock mostly theirs songs/bands of different genres that i listen to simply coz it sounds good, so its all deffinetly an aquired taste.

I somewhat agree. I personally don't like MCR, but I really, really don't understand why people post questions like "Why does MCR suck so much?" or "Why are MCR fans so lame?" etc. I get it, I don't like MCR are either, but wouldn't be more logical to STOP talking about them?

Oh and the best one, "Why won't people stop talking about MCR?" and "Why is every other question about MCR?" I don't know, but when someone asks a question like that, they're only contributing to the problem!

No matter how good or bad a band is, there's gonna be people that hate that band, and that's just the way it is.
