On Nov. 1, I'll just go to mass, my friend and say a prayer for all the dearly departed. Here in the States, they celebrate All Saints Day and All Souls Day very quietly (like regular days)....not quite the same as we do it in the Philippines.

But for Halloween (Oct. 31), we're all set with our pumpkin door display. And we're ready with the candies for the trick-or-treaters (mostly kids here in complex).

I have decorated the front yard with all the aswangs and multos that kids love to see when they do trick or treat. In fact, it is a competition in our village - - - a prize is given to the best halloween decor.

The same with John C and will cook dinuguan for dinner to make it a little bit spooky. Favorite dish of my youngest. He calls it 'duguan'. (bloody)

Oh, as any Filipinos would do.

We will be joining our relatives, who we only see during this time, and go to the cemetery. Exchange stories, update ourselves, and things like that.
