Alright, so I was talking with friends on msn... When all of a sudden, I got this folder with 11kb in it and I opened it and it apprently gave me a worm, cause my screen went all weird for a couple moments and my mouse froze, and now msn kicks me off every now and then and leaves behind these weird messages about pictures of me and it sends it out to all my friends, and it's apprently growing to their friend lists... Anyone know what it is, and how I can get rid of it?

hey,few months ago i also got a worm and got rid of it with the home edition of,http://avast.com/ best of luck.

If you have any security software, now is a good time to run a scan of your computer. At the very least, you will need an antivirus and anti spyware program. Since you don't know the exact nature of the infection, it is a good idea to cast a large net and use both programs. There are plenty of good free security programs so there is no need to spend a lot of money. A good place to download some free programs is the filehippo website (www.filehippo.com). I recommend Antivir, Avast or AVG antivirus - you only need one antivirus program. As for anti spyware, I recommend Spybot, Ad Aware and AVG anti spyware. While you can only use one antivirus program, it is advisable to install more than one anti spyware program. Download the programs, install them, update them and then run scans. Make sure to quarantine any suspicious file. It is safer if you quarantine them rather than delete them - in case the security programs made a mistake. In addition, install a good firewall. A firewall will alert and stop any unauthorized connections to the Internet (i.e. it will prevent worms from spreading to other computers).

nod32 is the best becaues it updates every single day!
trust me, i am the computer man in my community ,and i use that and another program to clean computers
or last resort, back up all drivers if i can and reinstall windows

try avg anti virus (it finds worms too) first it will find it most likely.
Get a firewall for crying out loud that would stop the thing from ever reaching your friends. (if its outside it can't get in, and if its inside it can't get out)
