Remember order of operations (PEMDAS)
no parenthesis
no exponents
multiply & divide left to right -7 -.375 - 13
add & subtract left to right
note: all numbers are negative, thus add the numbers together and the apply the negative sign to it
you should get -20.375

the other two answers are wrong

I think you should start at -7and then go 3/8 more in the negative direction since the 3/8 is also negative now you are sitting at -7 3/8. Now go 13 more in the negative direction since the 13 is also negative. Now you are sitting at -20 3/8. The problem could be written like this -7 + [-3/8] + [-13]= -20 3/8.

You have to do a presentation on something that simple? And couldn't you find a calculator? The answer is -157/8, or if u like mixed number, -19 and 5/8, and there really are not steps needed.

(-7 - 3) / (8 - 13)
=(-10)/(-5)
=2
