Although - without knowing what value x equals, you can simplify this equation to state
6x^3 + x = x (6x^2+1)
I investigated to see if 6x^2+1 could simplify and it could not be done itself thus I would leave the answer as the above.

what are you trying to do with this? If you are trying to factor it; both of your terms of 6x^3 and x have the factor of x in them so you could take it out to get - x(6x^2 + 1). Otherwise without any other directions - you really couldn't do much else.

ok i actually set a question like this on a kid's test this week. there is no answer- it cant be simplified.
cos you are working in 2 different dimensions; the cubed (3rd dimension ) and the first ( x to the 1)
you cant take a cube and add on something from a different dimension.
