I tried to explain to my friend that they are timeless but she insists that our children(we are 16) and our childrens children wont listen to them. She is so wrong. Who agrees?

The children of Beatles fans said the same thing...til they grew up and realized how great they really were and still are...The Beatles were instrumental in the success of rock n roll and as long as music is played, the Beatles will never die and neither will their music...no reputable music collection is complete without them

This is a pretty good question, to which I wish I can have an answer for, but time will have to say. I know of the Beatles, a very popluar band in the 1960's, but I am not a very big Beatles fan. Even through I have heard some of thier tunes before. And in the case of your friend, she might not be a Beatles fan. I don't have a crystal ball, so I can't look in it to see if the future generations, ones that aren't on this earth yet, and currently there are only 2 Beatle members still living, and maybe by the time, that you and your friend will have kids, all of them will be dead. Since right now, they are both in thier 60's, so we don't kno for sure how long they will remain alive.

I agree with you 100% I love the Beatles, they are timeless. People have been listening to them for over 40 years. They'll be remembered for many more.

You have a right to disagree! The Beatles are required taste and we can keep them alive my sitting our kids down and letting them listen to our records. I'm young and I listen to Big Band music from the 20's! I think the Beatles will always be loved, and rightly so.

I grew up in the 70s and 80s but listen to classical, ethnic, rock and jazz-good music is good music and that means people will always listen. The Beatles are classic and were not only good but revolutionary-there will always be an audience!

I totally disagree. I started liking the beetles when we listening to their albums in my history of rock class and when I heard their songs, I knew most of them, but didn't know who they were. Even the songs I haven't heard before, I really like them.. so yea, your friend is totally wrong.

You're correct, they are timeless. You and your friend listen to them. They aren't from your generation. They've survived generations already and will continue to.
