I find these sugar-satuarated grease sponge rings so repugnant, I can't believe anyone can gag one down much less claim they "love" them. If you do, as a child, were you raised in an environment where only highly pre-processed foods were served-- little if anything homemade or wholesome? Do you now like a lot of non natural food products?
Before you ask-- yes-- I am concerned and bothered that OTHER people like them. I feel it only increases my chances of living in a world where such garbage is the norm.

Hey-- for the record-- let's not even address the obvious health concerns. I'm talking pure TASTE. They're at best medicinal in flavor. Not one even resembles what it's supposed to taste like. Each is just a different chemical cocktail flavor.

Hey Ruby dear-- nice try but I think you spent more energy pontificating your answer than I did asking my simple question to satisfy my curiosity. I think YOU need to chill out.

Why do I "pick" on them? THAT is the point. Because they are so uniquely disgusting. It has nothing to do with their "junk" content which I'm sure is behind many garbage food which I'd down right ENJOY next to KK. That's my point! If they weren't so artificially chemical tasting I wouldn't bother asking the question! You don't see me picking on Hostess HOHOs which taste as if they MAY actually contain edible ingredients!

If what other people are eating is something that weighs on your mind to the point where it bothers you so much, then I'm sorry, you need to find a hobby. Or something else to occupy your mind. Be concerned with your own diet, eat healthy and let others get fat if they want to. You ALREADY live in a world where such garbage is the norm, nothing that you can do about it now. Don't let the habits of other people that you can't control stress you out. Life is full of enough stressors without worrying about ones that you can't control. Take a deep breath and calm down.

So Krispy Kreme in Australia takes US currency? WOW! I didn't know that? Why don't you just send her back the receipt, and say "Thank you, but not thank you. I'd rather have the Australian currency instead." Of course, for the cost of all this postage, you could have probably gotten it changed in the US.

Why are you focused on KK donuts? You could say the same about a great many foods favored by consumers. But maybe the simple truth is the best answer. Unhealthy foods are easier & quicker to locate, cheaper to purchase and appeal to American tastes. We're still better off eating donuts than smoking - now that's garbage.

There isn't one where I live in Alaska. We like natural foods here. I like nature grown wild moose meat myself. Black currant (wild of course) garnish goes well with wild bear roast.
And I like Krispy Kremes when I visit the lower 48. As far as this garbage being the norm- you must have been isolated on a remote island north of Greenland because this garbage HAS been the norm. Just be glad you werent drafted for WW I or II because that's what the rations were!

Nothing is "wrong" with patrons of Krispy Kreme. I eat them from time to time, but can't eat more than 1 or 2 then I'm good for a few months. :-)
But why pick on Krispy Kreme? There are at least 500 additional "popular foods" that keep America fat.
And I feel this has nothing to do with "upbringing". People just eat what they eat.

Amen! I tried one once and found it repulsive -- it tasted like there were three cups of sugar in that one doughnut.
I ate a lot of junk food in my teens and 20s and the first part of my 30s. Now I'm 45, and haven't had anything fried or processed in years. Jeez, just the smell as I'm passing by a fast food place is revolting.

in my family, we don't eat a lot of processed foods. my parents are very into the whole organic/high protein/low carb/low fat/low calorie (yeah, all that) bit, and we eat homemade food all the time (when I say homemade I mean by our cook, but it's all the same).
however, I do loooooooove Krispy Kreme, and no, I don't go for all the sugar and fat just because I can't normally have it (I don't do that). you must not have ever experienced the joy of a hot doughnut fresh off the rack because if you had, you would know how GREAT the doughnuts are. poor you.
p.s. try a french or german bakery. so good.

I like greasy saturated foods but I find that krispy kreme are extremely overrated and way too much sugar. I believe people like them because they look nice and word of mouth hypes up the brand name. They look like cartoon donuts like the kind homer simpson is always eating and that makes me people want to eat lots of them and make believe they are in a little cartoon world where everything is happy and perfect and krispy kreme will always save the day no matter what bad things happen.

Krispy Kreme is only the tip of the greasy, saturated fat, morbidly obese iceburg. We are surrounded by nothing but a society of fat *ss people who wouldn't know how to cook if they had to.......but I do like donuts. Krispy Kreme is all right once in awhile. But I have to go with the old German bakery in my neighborhood

I wouldn't say I love it. But I guess it's good as a one time thing. I don't usually eat Krispy Kreme. Probably only ate it 2 or 3 times.
