My friend had a party the other nite and I was sitting at the kitchen table and seen a mouse come down his brick wall from the metal rafter in the ceiling. He dropped about 3 feet and took off down the back side of his kitchen counter. I heard him go "THUD!" It scared me to death. I did not know mice can do that. Do all mice climb? How can I mouse proof, so I dont get them? Do mice bite? I am terrified.

LOL. If not familiar with the little creatures, it sure can give you a scare. YES. Mice climb. A brick wall would offer very good traction. Put steel wool into all holes especially around pipes under sinks. Mice will bite but only if they are cornered while you are trying to catch or kill it. They are actually very afraid of you so they try to be sneaky to get food scraps, etc.. to eat.

If you think you have some, set mouse traps with sticky peanut butter. Only movies have them chewing & biting on people while they sleep. You are OK.

Mice are creepy but they are more scared of you than you are of them and they know to keep their distance. So it won't bite you unless you literally grab it. Yes mice are good climbers so what you saw was not super-natural.

set up little cage traps around your home. take a little wire cage small enough so they can't slip through the holes. trap them in there, and dispose of them. such as, drwoning them(not recommended), or poisoning them.
