I discovered a gray egg in my yard, its shell is large and very hard, I know it must be very old, cuz it's surrounded by alot of mold, when my reptile hatches i'll be so proud, its baby cry will be so loud, we'll go walking, it will look distinct, towering above me its not extinct. what kind of animal will hatch out of the egg? name 3 clues that helped you guess."

Ok, after thinking for ages, and looking up stuff, I have -
Grays Monitor???
because:
1. Grays Monitors would have Gray eggs
2. its a reptile
3. it walks
and
4. its not extinct
5. it climbs trees - tower above me
not sure about the old and the mould bit, and I don't know if the babies make noises
I hate riddles, the real answers going to be something really stupid isn't it like - a banana!?!

Probably a large dinosaur. Old egg, reptile, extinct. Hope I could help.

dinosaur. reptile, above your head, not extinct. Only dinosaurs are reptiles taller than human.
