Stella, I'm not so sure that you're all that old that the best years of your life can't still be ahead for you.
The point is, regrets can be crippling if we linger on them too long or too often. What you've done in the past isn't nearly as important as what you're going to do with the rest of your life.
Ponder if you must, all humans with a moral conscience do. Then, of God's sake, make peace with your past and move on into the now and look forward to the future. Don't let the past waste the rest of your life.

I quit thinking about life & started to live it to the 'nth. Instead of pondering my reasons for being here I made a decision to get out and volunteer and help others - or just lend an ear. If somehow I make a difference in their life, I have certainly lived that day, hour, minute, second to my best of abilities and guess what - I don't even think of me. I find that I am pondering more and more what I can do for the next person. I love my life!!!

I'm not real sure what you need to do. I know I've been that way lately had a few things that have been tragic and it made me wonder "why" and for what reason. Realized life is too short to worry about things and you never know when your last may be. I'm trying to enjoy each day tell family that I love them. I'm finding that the pain gets a bit easier as each day passes but don't think I will ever forget the pain, Hope this helps

Though my thoughts are scarce in this area I have began thinking about this and other un imagineable subjects such as death. As my thoughts pondered this very thing I realized tha tfor every secondI have lived Someone or Something could have been changed that would effetc my life in the long run. I believe that even though you might not be able to relive that second you may eventually live that second in the future.

That feeling you get, sick to your stomach, is the realization that your alive, its when you become conscience. That sick feeling is your energy raising to a more balanced state. You realize you are alive and you are realizing that you're realizing your alive, and in that moment...you jump into a more conscience state because you experience yourself outside of your mind. You have a bright future.

No. Because at age 13, I had a list of things I wanted to do in my life. At age 55, I have done about 80% of my list. I will have my entire list done by the time I run out of time. So I will have no regrets.

There are some seconds that I don't want to relive. But every second of your day does not have to consist of something ''spectacular''. My several seconds on this site while my husband is dosing on the couch are fun and relaxing. Chill out. Enjoy all that you can in every way that you can.

I think that's a big part of "angst." Maybe you have the soul of an existential artist. It's an important thought, but needs to be expressed in a more creative medium....
