Definitely not. Words and sweet gestures are where it's at. Something sincere said from the bottom of his heart designed to make me feel good, being chivalrous, doing something to make my day a little easier or nicer, really listening and understanding, a caress or long hug, and being by my side during ups and any prolonged downs will do just fine. To define romance monetarily is a poor substitute for the real thing.
Romance is giving a voice, time, and touch to the love that's in your heart. Romance expels what's inside not expends on what is outside.
BTW, not everyone has the gift of knowing how to be romantic. YOU do. You are very verbally demonstrative with your friends. If you were in-love? *Whew*, I have no doubt that you'd know exactly what to say and do. I doubt very much YOU would have to rely on money to show her how much you care ;-).

Why are you planning on romancing me enki LOL just kidding don't freak out sweety. Romance can be expensive yes but I find that the best romance comes from the heart and therefore it is cheap money wise anyway but so much more valued than any money could buy. That is my opinion however. Some people like to be wined and dined with expensive things to them that is romance. If you are planning on romancing someone I suggest you find out there taste first but all in all I think personally that they should love you for you not by how much you spend on them. yes?? Romance should be about love and passion not a price tag. This is my answer but it may not be yours or what you are looking for in an answer only you know that dear sweet friend bye bye. take care okay, and don't work too hard.

It really is because romance leads to marriage and that can get expensive when you start having kids then buy a big house to keep all those kids in.
Romance is expensive if you are going out to expensive restraunts and shows or if you have to buy a big fancy car to go on dates.
It doesn't have to be expensive though, it depends on the people involved.

Romance and love are not expensive. If u truly love and care for someone U should not care how much money or anything that they spend on U. All that should matter is the time U get to spend with someone and the care U give to them.

Well, it shouldn't be, though you might want to just indulge yourselves every once in a while with a night out on the town. Normally, long walks, picnic lunches, beach combing, going to visit old forts that have dolphins you can have encounters with all can be very romantic. Did I mention going for long walks? When romance becomes too materialistic, it loses its luster.

Romance? No, it consists of sweet nothings whispered in the ear. Now obsession and infatuation and of course horniness are very pricey.

No. One of the most romantic things my hubby and I do is in the fall and winter we go outside, start a fire in the chiminea and drink hot chocolate and talk while looking at the stars. We love the way the moon makes the ''tree skeletons'' cast a shadow on the brick house at night in winter.
One Sat. morning we woke up at 4 am and wanted Twinkies and milk. We got up drove to town and got them ate them in bed and went back to sleep for several more hrs.
