-5 + 4a(6+8) - 1
= -5 + 4a(14) - 1
= -5 - 1 + 56a
= -6 + 56a

i think the answer is
-6+56a

i multiplied 4a by 6+8 because i had to distribute.
so that gave me -5+24a=32a-1.
i added the like terms together;
-5-1=6
and 24a+32a+56a
so your answer:
-6+56a
