Always go a bit overboard on your oil to gas mix. You will foul the spark plug, and lose a bit of power. But you will save the motor. The plug is cheaper than the motor. But don't go bugnuts on the oil! If you get the head(s) all gunky from too much oil you got a teardown problem. Get the best 2 stroke oil you can get in your area, then check the 2 stroke sites on the net. Use a/some good plug(s) and keep the motor warm, if not hot. You burn off the crap that way. You are going to expect a different powerband. You may not be used to the low speed capability of the two banger. Be careful with that. Again, save the motor at the expense of the plug(s) until you get your "wheels" on the smoker.

When I say a bit, I mean exactly that. Just a BIT. More is better than less in this case. But just a bit more. Too much and you get big time gunk. And when I say low speed, you can really move slow on them puppies in first. Almost walking speed. It's a bit freaky at first if you are used to an H-D.

The answer is there is no answer ....because everyone has an opinion and there is no right oil to run...I've personally used every oil out on the market and haven't seen any one of them matter at all..........Motor oil is in fact Motor oil...

If you believe there is any difference it's only in your mind...
If you're really concerned buy the most expensive oil you can find...It will give you peace of mind but you'll never see a difference...
(but we're talkin 2 stroke oil not regular)
