downloading a lot of music i also would like to start uploading and editing vids for youtube i really would like to stay under $1000 any suggestions??

I don't think you problem is the computer itself but rather how much of a processor (cpu) and how big of a hard drive you need. i would reccomend at least a dual core processor and and a 320 gig hard drive as minimums

Yeah go with a AMD Athlon system, or go with a custom and make sure it has a hard drive like 120 GB of space, 2 Ghz processor if possible a little quicker, and 1 or 2 GB of ram. I'm sure that would take care of you quite nicely. For what you want to use it for a computer that is custom or being tailored to your needs would be your best bet. Good luck
