Sadly I think it is exactly that.
I think there are a lot of Democrats, myself included, who don't really see Hillary as president material because of her politics, plus they don't want Bill in the White House again, even as the President's roommate. Then there are all the folks who just aren't ready for a woman president.
If you combine this backwards mentality with those who aren't ready for Obama, (Black, Muslim) either, well, then a lot of people will likely vote Republican.
I continue to vote for Nader, every election, on the grounds that if he gets even 5% of the popular vote, he can be funded the next election...putting an end to the 2 party system. Since Nader is the strongest third party candidate, and since I do like his politics and since he is a man of character...I think he deserves my vote...I may be pissing in the wind but at least I'm not voting against my conscience.

Not by a long shot. The real problem with the Clintons from a Republican standpoint is that the GOP can't imagine why anyone would ever want to vote for one. (I think this was the Dole campaign's problem, other than, well, being Bob Dole.)

I hope not. I see where you are coming from and I can't help but agree.
the question is (sadly) which is not as "Scary" to the American people, a black man or a white woman?
I prefer Obama, but anything is better then GOP.
If I lived in South Carolina I'd vote for Colbert.

what? You think you are going to make a difference? They don't care about our country, as long as they get the most votes. And if the outcome displeases them, they will just keep right on counting and recounting till the one they want into office finally get's the most votes. Pleeeeze!!

I think there's a chance that she won't be as bad... and while she's not my favorite, I would rather take a chance at improvement than go with a "sure thing" of 4 more years of the status quo...

Not at all. Hillary can win. The GOP does not have a strong candidate.
