It depends if you want rural or urban. For a rural get-a-way, I would suggest going out to Fallingwater, the Frank Lloyd Wright house in Fayette County, southeast of Pittsburgh. The leaves should be pretty at this time of the year, and the house is very interesting to tour.

Depends on what you like to do but Lancaster is only about 45 minutes away. They have an abundance of Shopping outlets along with Amish crafts shops. Some nice places to eat along with some nightly entertainment. If you are over 21 then I would recommend the Italian Villa. Great place. Rooms are nothing special but the dining is great!!! They also have a comedian every Friday & Saturday and Sunday nights. There are also dinner theaters and many other options available. Here are some websites for you:

Check out Lancaster or Poconos. Both have alot to do in the area - you could even go as just a daytrip.

See Hex Hollow:

Good one for Halloween. It's the original place and house of the famous "witch" murder of 1928.
