but after it stings for a while.

it hurts, but not enough to make you cry.
your ears will be tender for a few days.
you will need to swab your newly pierced ears with rubbing alcohol a couple of times a day, and "spin" the piercing studs.
lots of people may tell you that they didn`t follow the care instructions, and their ears turned out fine; that may be true for them. however, you should follow the care instructions you are given so you don`t run the risk of a potential nasty infection.
never wear someone else`s earrings without cleaning them with alcohol first, and don`t wear anything too heavy for the first few months after your ears heal.
before the actual piercing, have the person doing the job mark where the holes will be; make sure the holes will be level and straight (i have to pull my left earlobe out and forward when inserting earrings because the girl pierced it at an angle, and wires hang at an odd angle).
do it right and you`ll look great!

I just got mine pierced two months ago, it really doesn't hurt all that bad. It was the most pleasant thing ever but i didn't cry or anything. I was super nervous about it too! But if you get them pierced make sure you keep them clean because mine got infected and it hurt worse than the piecing did! So clean um good!! =)

I thought it hurt when I got mine pierced but my ears are very sensitive. Now I can not even wear earrings. My holes have partially closed and when I attempt to insert earrings, they bleed and turn red.
Make sure you have a professional pierce them if you choose to have them done. Also wear silver or gold not overlay or plated.

Well, it does hurt a little--it kinda feels like getting a shot at the doctor's office. It happens so fast and is over so quickly that it's not too bad, especially if you want earings really bad.

No way! It really is like a quick pinch, Just find an object in the room to stare at, and you probably wont even notice they got peirced! Its worth it to be able to wear earrings.

Miss Hannah, Maybe a little however in the bible it says that our bodies are the temple of the holy spirit and tatoos and piercing is not allowed if we want to get into heaven !

HONESTLY, not really at all. i was totally freaked out about it but it just sorta stings for a sec. if you can handle someone pinching you, you can handle ear piercings. your ears turn a little pink for like a minute and then your fine. GOOD LUCK!

it hurted when i got it, but that was when i was 3, lol
but really truely, it does hurt for a while, until about a day or so later, because you get used to it and the pain goes away

no I just got my second hole pierced and I was sooo scared, but it didn't hurt at all
