When you get a pap smear, does the q-tip they use usually have some blood on it after it is scrapped against your cervix?

Well yeah. They do that to get a culture of your insides.

Mine does. It's normal. Actually at my last exam the doctor nicked my cervix with something and it was painful and made me bleed all day. I was extremely irritated.

Its quite common actually. Scraping the cervix is exactly that - a scrape. Alot of women experience this..Don't fret.

yes, it is also common to have a little spotting after an exam

Yeah they culture your cells to make sure you dont have anything for example HPV.
