He can't do it simply for the sake of the health of bostonians. Imagine the sox go all the way, pats go all the way, bird comes back as coach, celts get to the finals, he rips off the suit showing the good ole 33 with 1 second left, nails a 3, they win the finals. How many people will die from their head exploding due to all the excitement? I mean, boston will be wiped off the map. He won't do it for this very reason.

I believe Larry Bird is currently the head of basketball operations (or some other management position) for the Indiana Pacers. He's not going to be associated with the Celtic management any time soon.

No, because Larry Bird is committed to his home-state Indiana Pacers. Not to say that he's a bad coach, because he isn't - after all, he did get the Pacers to the 2000 NBA Finals.

I think it would be a good PR move for the team, but with that HAS to come success and an NBA title. He didn't do a very good job as Indiana head coach, and isn't a very good GM. I think Rivers is the man for at least another year, depending on the BIG THREE'S success.

All i know is that if Larry bird becomes head coach he would definitely go crazy!!Celtics would definitely win especially now that they got Ray Allen and Garnett.

No yet my husband have been given a splat on his brow. I have been given one on my Tilley hat and it dispersed throughout my shirt.
