A regular solid has all identical faces. There are only a few of these - a cube is one. An irregular solid is something else. In between are solids that humans might say are regular but mathematically normally are not consider so - how about a box with 4 identical rectangles for sides and 2 squares for ends (a Saltine crackers box) or 3 pairs of identical rectangles (a cereal box). A Geodisic sphere, as I recall is made of 3 shapes - triangles, squares and pentagons. Regular?
