Where I live we have rent control and it's 8%.
In February my rent will go up 8% from $900.00 and I would like to know what it will be but I don't know how to figure it out.
So could you please tell me what 8% of 900 is?

Thanks all of you for answering this for me!
That won't be too much I guess considering everywhere else is triple that for what we currently have.

8% = .08

900 x .08 = 72

8% of $900 is $72

8% of 900 is 72.
So if your rent is going up by that much, your rent will be $972.

Hello,

Two ways to do this problem.

8%*900 + 900 = 72 + 900 = 972
or
1.08% * 900 = 972

Hope This Helps!!

Your rent will be 972

900*8% = 72

Multiply 0.08 and 900.00 and then add the product to 900.00 and that is how much your rent will be.
