I just got done having a pap smear and it did feel like a needle pricking there when she was swabbing my cervix. I also noticed that the qtip looked like it could have had some blood on it. Is this normal?? I did not have spotting yet afterwards.

Actually the Dr takes a few cells out of your uterus and it does feel like you have been pricked. Those cells then go on a clear piece of glass to be looked at under a microscope. Each year when you get a pap smear that will happen. It is no big deal is it? It will save your life hun. A little pain is better than the big pain down the road, cancer. Hope this helped. Blessings.

it sounds ok. getting a pap can be quite uncomfortable. i wouldnt worry about it.
