I would try x = 0, solve for y.
Then try y = 0, solve for x.

3x + 2y = 8
3(0) + 2y = 8
2y = 8
y = 4
So one point is (0, 4)

3x + 2(0) = 8
3x = 8
x = 8/3
So (8/3, 0) is another point.

I'll assume your teacher is asking for y and x intercepts.
For x = 0
2y = 8 or y = 4 and the y-intercept is (0,4)
For y = 0
3x = 8 or x = 8/3 and the x-intercept is (8/3 , 0)

3x+2y=8
-3x -3x
__________
2y=-3x+8
divide both sides by 2

y=-3/2x + 4

4 is the y coordinate so (0,4)

and a bunch of other stuff but i can do it the Algebra II way better

you just put in zeros

3x+2y=8

to find the x coordinate you would put in a zero for the y

3x+2(0)=8
3x=8
divide both sides by 3

x= 2.67 or 8/3

to find the y coordinate you would do the same thing just put a zero in for x instead

(2.67,0) or (8/3,0) for x coordinate

There are two variables. Choose a value for x, plug it in, solve for y. If you are supposed to draw a graph of the values, do this several times and plot each point on the graph. You'll see a straight line come out, if you do it right.

Easier: solve the whole thing for y in the form y = .... then it's a lot easier to plug in x.
