Because I am confused! You're all riled about about Government health care but
What happened to Terry Shivro and how you same people went on a witch hunt in favor of the Pro-life let The Federal Government get in the middle of State government and then congress exploited the family and the governor Jeb stuck foot in mouth?
Pro life = Health care for all!
So, whats the deal? Make the case…
This is a moral issue, so if you are pro-life thats fine, but how can one be so if health care is out of touch to obtain life?
You far extreme nuts have nothing else to do but slam people/children/disabled who want to live in a healthy world. But, in order to be healthy (like Terry Shivero) and have all those machines and people attending to her daily needs, you need health insurance… So are you PRO LIFE or ARE YOU NOT I just don't freaking get it
By the way I see you found someone your own size to pick on in the Wilekerson child

Ok if you're against the Government tell me why the run Medicare so well, offers seniors and the disabled choice has a low low overhead of just 1% and why didn't you stop the Medicare prescription drug bill which YOUR president lied about the cost of and is a far bigger cost than national healthcare will be

RU you make some sense but I will take one small issue with you on 60K being livable, it really depends on where you live, now where I live you can live quite well on 60K (Indiana) but New York City with rents at $2000 or San Diego well I think we can argue that some families in these areas see 60K like some see 25K

So, really, you don't want help; you just want to accuse people of being wrong since they disagree with you. I understand that; typical liberal.
Who says all conservatives agreed with what went on because with the Terry Schivo case? I didn't. I'm also pro-choice, not pro-life, though I am in favor of life. I don't know how "congress exploited the family" or how "governor Jeb stuck foot in mouth."
The SCHIP bill that was vetoed is pretty simple. 1) SCHIP is about children, not adults. 23 year olds are adults; they shouldn't be covered under SCHIP. 2) Parents making $80k a year should pay for their own children's health insurance. I shouldn't have to struggle to cover my family and then struggle to cover their family as well. 3) If it is true that the bill capped at $60K, those people still aren't poor. 4) It was a sneaky attempt by this congress to get national health care passed through the back door without debate. 5) The President has been telling this congress for months that he would not pass this bill as it stood, but he has been saying that he would be more than willing to compromise on an SCHIP bill. congress refused to do it. 6) If this bill was "the people's will," why couldn't congress override it?
As for that kid, I have no idea what you are talking about.

Schaivo and socialized medicine are two different issues.
I have ALWAYS maintained that the government had no business getting in the middle of a family argument. As far as I'm concerned , the parents should have kept their noses out of husband and wife affairs. If Terri's family would have minded their own business, the case would have never went to court in the first place.

I see you just joined y/a, why? Do you have a job? Who pays your bills? How old will you be when you move from mommy's house? How much tax money have you earned, how much tax money have you paid?
I dont give e-mail out because of mo's like you. I posted a question, give me an answer. This is Y/A. Let every see your answer.

Pro life has nothing to do with a government health program. We can have health insurance without it being run by the government to royally mess up. When has the government ever run anything without cost overruns and waste? You are mixing apples and oranges and looking for a free handout, which national health coverage is not, by the way. Your taxes will rise by 20% and then you have the right to stand in line for a doctor appointment.

Your question backs up your first statement that you are confused. No conservative is "against health care," they are against having the government administer it. This SCHIP bill is not a moral issue, it's far left demagoguery. Conservatives support reform in the health care system, but that reform must leave the power with the people. Turning it over to the same people who run the DMV and the Department of Education is not the answer.

Terry Shiavo was not on welfare, she had paid for her health insurance. She must have realized that it was not the governments responsibility to provide her with health care, but her own. Maybe someday liberals will get on board and stop sucking the government teat.
