All the polls are based on opinions of sports writers and coaches. My friends and I have a beer bet that if the fans could vote, the top 25 would be very different. SO... who's the best team.

To make it easier to tabulate the results, please do the poll at http://sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/fanrankings/

Last week Ohio State and South Florida got all the votes.

Thanks

I think LSU has the most developed talent, but I think Florida and LSU are at around the same level of play, as the Gators showed in Baton Rouge, despite the loss. Hopefully, that score will be settled in the SEC Championship game. I think the speed of either of these two teams is enough to end OSU's season, although OSU is still a great team. Two close losses this year to two great teams has hurt them in the rankings, but I believe their BCS ranking is misleading. Lookout come the SEC Championship Game if Florida and LSU both make it. It will be the most exciting matchup of the year with so much more riding on it than their previous game this year.

My real opinion is that there is no #1 team. Right now, the champion will follow Darwin's theory... "survival of the fittest".

Do you people even watch the games? LSU has given up 85 points the last three games. Their offense has looked inconsistent, and the coaching has up and down. I'm not saying that LSU isn't the best team, since none of us really know just yet, but I think all of you are just repeating what you read in the pre-season. I'd like to say my Buckeyes are the best, but I don't think the offense is good enough for me to say that yet. I think we have a field of 6-8 teams that can play with anybody, with no one really separating themselves from the competition.

LSU could easily have 3 losses this year. There's no way they're the best team in the country, since they're not even better than Kentucky.

When deciding who's best, you have to consider how they look on paper AND how they perform in games. Of all the undefeated teams left, Ohio State is by far the best team, so there's no logical reason to NOT consider them the best team in the country.

When the dust settles, it will be lsu. They have already gone thru the meat of their schedule. Just win out and they will be in the big easy for the big dance. The bye week this week will help them a lot.

I've got to go with the others.
LSU is by afar the best team in college football.
Boston College, Florida, and Oklahoma are still going strong too.
Actually, Oklahoma might shouldn't be up there.

i do believe that OSU is not the best team by far.. same with BC, until those 2 play a couple of legitimate teams they haven't proved anything... only that by playing a weak schedule they are undefeated.. with that said i am a huge GATORS fan that lives in ohio.. and i hate to say it .. but LSU is the top team out there.
