Jess...U need to step away from the crack pipe honey. But then again if you live in a Communist Country you'll have to wait in line for 6 days just to buy a crack pipe. On the other hand there are still Communist countries, feel free to leave anytime.

I think that the people who answer this question should have at least lived in Cuba for a year before giving an answer. If not, then at least see Michael Moore's movie - Sicko.

The best form of government is one which combines all of them.

Unfortunately the American government only consists of capitalim and is ultra conservative to the extreme and run by corporations. American politicians are mere prostitutes paid off by big lobbie groups/corporations.

I think that a bit of Communism introduced into American politics would be a breath of fresh air. They could introduce a free medicare system but it would totally go against their capitalist ideals.

In America, freedom and everything else really only belongs to those who can pay for it.

1. If you think that the US should be a communist nation you really should take a trip down to visit our southern neighbor, Cuba.
If, after that little vacation, you still think the US should communist, then do us all a favor and stay there!
2. To Mr. Peanut Gallery, Cuba IS NOT part of the United States of America.

Not now, Not tomorrow, Not ever ! Only a Left Wing Nut would say something like that. Communism is nothing more than Liberal extremism ! If you want to live under Communism, Move To Cuba !

True communism is not attainable.

States that call themselves communist are generally authoritarian with varying degrees of socialism.

The success of these states generally depends on the degree to which the population is aware of the outside world.

You can't desire what you are unaware of.

Communism has collapsed in just about every country that's done it. Very few remain. That's why it's becoming a thing of the past. That means you would also have to give up alot of things too.

Communism never did away with superiority or inferiority. You have the government class and the rest of the peasants. You work for the government rather than yourself. Not very appealing to me.

I would not want to see that either.

And by the way, Cuba is in fact part of America, no one said it is part of the United States.

communism creates a slave class, nothing more. The fact that liberals want everything handed to them that the rest of us work for does not impress me at all. everyone is already equal, and equally have the right to succeed. you do not get something for nothing.

Kurt Vonnegut's "Brave New World" sums it up. Initially, Communism was a well intended attempt.
