because salt water doesnt freeze, and neither does a large amount of water, and the ocean is both.

Oceans do freeze. You can observe this in the Arctic and Antarctic region.

But the entire ocean does not freeze only the top layer does. This is because Ice floats on water as it is less dense and Ice is a bad conductor of heat. So this layer of ice does not allow much heat to escape from the water below, thus it remains as water.

Also fresh water lakes freeze long before oceans as the salt in oceans lowers the freezing point of water.

YOUR ALL IDIOTS. The ocean does freeze, however not the whole thing, only the top layer. The remaining of the ocean from the bottom to the top (where its not frozen) is not frozen. Water has a high specific heat, and it take a long time to heat it up and cool it down, (relative to humidity with air). So basically the top of the ocean is cold, causing it to freeze. However the remainder is not, because the temperature of the water is not at 0 degrees Celsius/32 degrees Fahrenheit.
Back in the days people walked across this thing called an "ice bridge" which is basically walking across ice on the ocean.

Because it has such a high volume and it is in continuous motion with warm water circulating from equatorial oceans.

You may notice that it does, where it is cold enough. Does the Arctic Ocean ring a bell?

it DOESN'T freeze, because the water temperatures are sometimes warm in specific places.
