Rush is a talk show host, stark is an elected official, do you think these two positions should be held to the same parameters? What Stark said was moronic and counterproductive to a government which employs him, and a constituency which elected him. What statement of the two do you think Osama would be happier about, a talk show host slamming one "phony" or a policy maker of the US slamming the entire US war on terror? besides what Stark said was in no way exaggerated or misconstrued, what Limbaugh said was about one "phony" and the others which do the same things the "phony" did, which is lie about their service for self promotion. Obviously you did no research let alone even listened to what Rush stated, typical leftist BS. The person and persons Rush referred to are "phonies" and don't even deserve to have the title Soldier in anything to do with any phrase they're associated with.
Read what Chris states, it's the truth. Also try some book work and get your facts straight, you make yourself out to be an Idiot.

Stark was wrong and he knew it! Rush on the other hand, and I heard it myself, said nothing about any of our troops being "phony." Why would an intelligent man, like yourself continue to go on about this? Is it just to keep some people angry?
You know he was talking about this MacBeth character, he may have contributed to more atrocities on our "real" soldiers due to his lying about his time in the service and the things he said!
Limbaugh owes no one an apology. At least some good will come out of Harry Reid's lies. $4.2 Million good for the Marines, who Rush has Always supported.

He only called the phony soldiers phony, not all.
Why do you back the phony soldier Jesse MacBeth, who claimed he was Army special forces, but he was really a basic training drop out?

I know you read the transcript, but unless you LISTENED to the ENTIRE show or read the ENTIRE show transcript, you will never know what the context of the comment was. The transcript listed by mediamatters is only for the 5 minutes or so of the 2 phone calls. You won't find the following segment's transcript on mediamatters or the transcript for the morning update. You know that any statement can be taken out of context from any speech.

The "phony" soldiers comment raised over $4.4 million dollars for Marine Corp families. He auctioned the letter the Senators sent to clear channel asking that he be censored. It went for $2.2 million and he matched the funds. He also asked all of the Senators that signed it to match it like he did or just to donate to the charity, so far none have.
He still claims he was talking about a soldier who was kicked out of the army after only 44 days, who falsely claimed he was a ranger, wounded in Iraq, and that we were committing war crimes there.

Get the facts straight. He was talking about a phony soldier. He will never apologize but he will enjoy handing the 4 million + dollar check over to the charity. Stark is pathetic and harry Reid is even worse.

Chi , I appreciate many of your posts but I know Rush Limbaugh. . . at least I know him from listening to him on the radio starting almost 20 years ago . And Rush has an impeccable record of supporting our country and our troops . I read and listened to the transcripts of the show in question , and Chi , I'm tellin ya , he didn't mean anybody except fake troops who were lying in order to cause strife . Fake troops meaning guys who never served .
Now I know you served and I know I served . But he was not referring to us .

He will never apologize for calling Jesse Macbeth a phony soldier and nobody should ask him to do that. What Macbeth did was deliberate and dishonest and immoral among many other things. You are really reaching here and you know it I think.

Are you kidding? Rush apologizing for anything? I think that'll happen when pigs fly, and I haven't seen him sprout wings and take off from behind his desk yet.
He should apologize, but he's not enough of a man to do so.
