I have the entire collective works and read them to my nephew every chance I get. I don't know if he gets it or not but I think our society is missing so much in this video/techno culture they are growing up in. Kids today can't read because no one ever reads to them sparking the interest to do so.
I get so much joy the next day when he wakes up and tells me about his adventures placing himself in the story in his dreams.
