If you are on someone else's network, with the right software and devices, an administrator can view all websites you visit, any emails you have opened, and any instant messaging, torrents, and any other of your online activities.

Unless you are signed into a VPN to another network, or using a proxy to bypass network security, you really have no privacy on another network. The good news is that most admins don't really have the time or resources to go looking through each person's activities. They are primarily interested in someone hogging all of the bandwidth of the connection.

Yes. I know so because I am a network administrator for ITT Technical Institute. Not only do we know what sites you've been to but the hours, minutes, second you spend at a given site. Yes a network admin can tell who exactly visited a website and what links were clicked, I can retrieve information you deleted years ago on your computer.

yes even if you have your own laptop.. when you log on to a network, your given a IP address. now your computer gives that server all the details about your system.... you're network wireless card's Mac address. Your CPU's ID and loads of other details

A list of all web sites that everyone visits is logged. that is the law... by the way you leave a finger print on everything you do while you're on the internet... using Yahoo, Google, and MSN.

Yes, any one with administrative rights can see anything done on any computer that is connected to the server.

Not only that, they can stop you from erasing the history and cookies if they so desire, our network is set up that way.

It's a company computer and they have the right to do and see anything that is done on it. If you do something illegal on their computer they are the ones that will be ultimately held responsible.

When I had administrative rights to our server, I was shocked at how much they can actually see and do with those rights.

If they have tracking software installed on the system, they can see everything you do and who did it.

If they have control over your default gateway (where DNS queries are passed), then they can see ALL traffic.
