wow! there were so many crazy "facts" that i had to write them down to remember them all!
1. romney on gays- romney believes in equal rights- but does hold that legal marriage is between a man and a woman. He has actually been critized by republicans for being "too nice" to gay people so it's intersting that you would say this- he has many gay people on his campaign actually- and even when questioned about this- he stated that he does not discrimnate, and offers jobs to those that are the best qualified for the position- period.
2. okay the mormon stuff...- we do not believe in blood sacrafice- that is old testament stuff, and blood sacrafice has not been necessary since Jesus' crucifixion. That's what blood sacrafice was- to teach those that Jesus would atone for us through His blood sacrafice- that's why there is the story of moses, abraham and issac,...never, and i mean NEVER have the LDS church practiced blood atonement-
- we do not believe that Jesus had many wives, there isn't even any record of Him ever being married at all-people speculate about mary magdalene, but the church has never said on way or the other
-we do not believe that garments (the underwear the poster was refering to) protect us from bullets, are magic or will do anything else drastic. They are worn to remind us of the covenants we made with God in the temple, -it is an outward expression of an inner commitment to follow the Savior Jesus Christ-when we remember our covenants we will be less receptive to temptation and evil because God and our covenants will be in our hearts and minds.
-We do not believe in God(s)- we believe in a Godhead, and that Jesus and Heavenly Father and the Holy Ghost are seperate unlike the trinity claims. Were they are all the same person taking on different forms at different times.
- we do not practice polygamy, and have not for over 130 years-there are sick colony like groups- not affiliated with the LDS church that do, and are finally starting to be brought to justice for this- again NOT members of the LDS(mormons) church
whew- i think i got all the ridiculous claims- but as far as romney, no one knows but him, it is mormon doctrine on a more complex level than stated- but either way, it shouldn't be reason to keep him out of office. It's his politics that should be graded, not what is between him and his own personal relationship with God.
-wait missed one- the bible is not the fourth book we use- we primarily use the book of mormon and bible. In fact for sunday school the focus of teaching rotates. One year is devoted to the old testament, then the new test., then the book of mormon, and then doctrine and covenants, and then back to the bible. We actually devote 2 years to the bible every rotation, while the book of mormon and doctrine in covenants only get one year each rotation.

What is your purpose of bashing a candidate and a religion you know NOTHING about. You are insulting and rude!

I am so sick of the WRONG and insulting remarks from people like FedUp, Crossing, cwstuff and Portland! You have no idea what you are talking about and you are a bunch or liars! Sure there is free speech but it isn't right to tell bold faced LIES!

I know what the Mormons believe - YOU DON'T! And, Miss FedUp, living in Utah for 2 1/2 years didn't teach you squat about the church! Personally, I "fedup" with your insulting lies!

BTW, a thumbs down doesn't change the fact that you don't know anything!

It is a skewed misconseption of the doctrine of "Eternal Progression."

I believe that if a person proves himself worthy and able in this life, that he will be able to continue to improve and progress throughout eternity. It is taught in a number of places in the scriptures, including the Bible, that those who are worthy will inherit all that God has. I don't think it will be immediate after death, but eventually we can progress to the point we can create worlds of our own and populate them, just as God did with this one. I don't think we'll be limited to just one or "inherit" it.

I can't really tell you what Mr. Romney believes. I can make assumptions according to his standing in the Church and his actions, but only he can answer for his beliefs.

Mormons beliefs are:

They believe in Gods ( yes plural)

They believe if you are a good mormon when you die you become a god and get your own planet.

They believe the God of earth was a regular man on another planet and he resides near a star called KOLOB

They have special handshakes and secret names so they can find each other after they die.

They wear special secret underwear with secret religious symbols sewn into them that protect them from bullets and other bad things.

All of the following and more are FACTS and can be researched in the 3 books they have

The Bible is the forth book they use and when Mormon beliefs don't agree with the Bible they say that passage was interpreted wrong.

P.S. They say that Jesus had multiple wives when he was on earth.

To an extent thats correct. Mormons believe that if they achieve the highest level of heaven the "celestial" then they can become a god them selves. i know kinda funny since the ten comandments say pretty much that there is only one god and not to follow false idols. Although if they inherit there own planet is up to the person it seems i et a different answer everytime they send another missionary after me.

Yes, it is very true. Since Mitt Romney is Mormon, yes, he does believe this also. They also believe that the Devil (Satan) is Jesus's brother. They also believe in Blood atonement which means that in certain cases they believe MURDER is acceptable..cases which bring shame onto the Mormon church..not man. There are also lots of polygamist families also.

Yeah, you can give me a thumbs down (or have YA delete my answer) all you want, but these are the FACTS which I have seen with my own eyes.

Mormons are some really wigged out people.

How strange to think God would put a couple on a planet and give them dominion over it and populate it. How strange and how Biblical.

Yes, Mr. Romney is only wanting to be president so he can be prepared to be god over his own planet.

We even have classes on Sunday: "You, too, can be a god!" and "How to rule your own planet".

please.

We beleive that we are heirs of God and joint heirs with Jesus Christ, and that's about as far as we should EVEN take that.

Mitt Romney would be very happy making THIS planet Mormon-friendly. That is to say, among other things, a place where homosexuals (god help us) are made to sit in the back of the bus.
If it is us gays first, who will be next?

He is an opportunistic waffling greedy man - I am, if nothing else, GLAD to be rid of him from the commonwealth of Massachusetts.!
