We all have our moods and feelings, both positive and negative. **How** we express them is the kicker. We can express negativity if we point out a general problem and not direct it at an individual. People are so sensitive, and sometimes we have to work with these individuals.

If you can honestly try to see the positive side of things most of the time, that's healthy. But, negative feelings can be expressed if done in a non-accusing way.

It's best to show your positive feelings to the world in general, but...everyone needs to be able to express the negative as well. BE CAREFUL when expressing the negative. Most people can't handle your negatives, and will likely misread, distort, spin and twist them into something you may not have intended. Really strong negatives should be shared only with someone you trust, and who loves and respects you. My experience has been that sharing the negative with the wrong person can come back to haunt you later, especially if its a strong feeling.

Positive. If you display negative feelings in public then people react negatively towards you and at best you go home feeling depressed and embarrassed; by all means let them rip when you are in the company of a couple of friends who owe you a sympathetic ear, we all need to let go from time to time but doing it too often and with too many witnesses is really unhealthy. If you present the positive then you have to make the effort to keep on presenting it, which means that you can not dwell on things that make you feel bad and that means that for a time at least you will actually make yourself feel happier.

That is somewhat of a trick question to me.

I believe a healthy person will learn to take negative feelings and turn them into positive feelings. Therefore being able to show positive feelings in a negative situation shows empathy, self control, and most of all it provides the people around you with a more positive outlook on life.

I would have to say that being able to show both negative and positive emotions is probably the most balanced and healthy way to be.

Bottling things up and not discussing them, whether be good or bad, can only lead to problems.

Just wish it were that easy to do....!

Showing and thinking positive is more healthy I think. You feel lot better when your feeling positive and it makes other people feel good when your showing positive feeling towards them.

In principle, we only must showing good feelings to other people ( to avoid conflicts) but when you or your environment arrives to a certain extent that you say " that's enough already for me" you should show what you really think or feel for they know that everything has limits and almost :
a) they react or change their behaviour
b) you don't keep negative feelings inside you when is not fair that you do it.(almost we know that is not good for health if into the bargain situations don't deserve......)

I don't know if you refer to these kind of feelings but i asked as i understood :)

I believe that being able to do both at any time is healthy. But i believe that expressing too many negative feelings may not be so healthy. I believe it stresses out the mind more and gives us more to worry about.
