Delays in your periods are usually caused by factors such as stress, exercise and irregular eating habits. If you have exhibited any of those things (and more possibilities as well) over the last month or so, that's probably what's causing your delay.
For example: If you normally eat tons of junk food, then one day, stop eating junk food and only eat healthy foods, your body will go through a major enough change that your menstrual cycle will be modified as well.
The above answers are also good explanations too.

Sometimes the pill messes with your system. Have you gone to see an obygyn? I know I just got off the pill in early June and it made me have an extremly painful ovulation and since I come from a "fertile" family I was ovulating right away. I went to see an obygyn and she said told me what happened and said that it was normal coming off of birthcontrol. Sometimes it takes a while to get back to your regular system after taking birth control. How long have you taken the pill for? Some birthcontrols are stronger than others, also the depovera (sp?) shot can take up to a year to get back to normal.... so it all depends on what you were taking. Normally the doctor's won't get involved unless you have tried for at least a year. But if you haven't had you're period you need to see a doctor that specializes in women. My regular family doctor treated me for a bladder infection without any examination when infact like I stated above it was my ovulation going a little wrong. It is very possible that you just haven't gone back to normal after the pill but you really need to see what is wrong. When you call the doctor tell a nurse or receptionist what is wrong over the phone. It always gets me in the office quicker and I usually can get an appointment within a few days. Wish you the best of luck..... : ) (I am trying to have a baby as well)

If you haven't had sex then there's no need to worry about being pregnant. I really don't think that you have anything to worry about at all. If it hasn't come yet in a few more weeks then maybe give your doctor a call just to make sure that there is nothing wrong. But right now, being a virgin, you don't have much to worry about. Lots of things can cause your period to be late like stress or diet.

If you haven't had sex, then don't worry about being pregnant. You are still very young and your body is going thru all sorts of changes. Being late is not uncommon for the hormonal changes that you are experiencing by just being a teenager.
Like I said....no sex, no babies. Don't worry and just be prepared for when your period does show up.
Good luck.

Its probably nothing to worry about-everyone has a least one irregular period in their lifetime. Have you been under a lot stress or lost a lot of weight recently-that can affect your cycle sometimes.

hon, you can have irregular periods right up and thru menopause. If you are not sexually active, don't worry about it, just keep a napkin and fresh panties with you at all times so you are prepared.
