They're trying to downplay climate change again by not allowing you to see the CDC reports on the spread and increased risk of disease. They edited the pages down from 14 to 4. The CDC wants you to know that flooding, warming and standing water brings the risk of disease. Why doesn't Bush want you to know?

Why do I always get lectures about GW's not manmade.......Al Gore blah blah blah. Wake up people. Climate change IS real whether or not it's manmade is mute. Disease is also a side-effect that people need to be aware of.

Global warming may be causing the problems you indicate. But for every scientist you quote saying GW is man made there is another showing scientific measurements showing it is the natural earth and solar system cycle. And even the severity of the problems the scientist cant agree on, and it has been proving that while some scientists on BOTH SIDES have been paid by special interest groups, many scientists on BOTH SIDES have NOT. Global Warming will not be the end of mankind, MANKIND will be the end of MANKIND so it seems to be more prudent to worry about say the problems in Pakistan than the perceived "coverup" of increased flooding causing a pandemic caused by swarms of invading infected mosquitos. If Musharref and Bhutto are both killed and one of Bin Laden's lackeys takes over, which is more likely to kill you, malaria or radiation poisoning!

If there is global warming, it is not a crisis so don't worry about it. Secondly, if there is global warming it has little, if anything, to do with humans.
Humans can't even predict the weather a few days out yet alone years, decades or centuries. Humans have only been recording temperatures for around 150 years, and not even that accurately for most of that time.
The climate has been changes since the dawn of existence without human intervention. The planet and solar system have much more complex systems in place that dictate our climate. These are things man has little knowledge of and probably will never fully comprehend.
It is a noble thing to help protect & preserve our environment but we should also not let a group of fanatic global warming theory followers destroy our way of life and economy over something that we have little or no control over.

Because the necessary changes that must be made would effect Corporate profitability and Bush wants good economic numbers to combat his lack of overall approval. Bush will be gone in 14 mos. and then the War and Global Warming become someone else's problem.

Read National Geographic and Scientific American magazines from late 1970s. Back then scientists were convinced we were entering the new Ice Age because of our reckless pollution. Climate change is a lot like precancerous skin cells (they're ALL precancerous before you have cancer). Climate change runs in cycles, though I do feel sorry for all the yahoos in CA and GA who bought houses in the desert/soon to be desert (though I'm sure the Federal government will be reimbursing them with some more cash from the Northeast)

Are you kidding me? Global warming? Studies all over show that we are actually cooler on average by 1 degree than we were in late 1990's and that it cycles based on climate conditions like El Nino or La Nina.
Standing water breeds mosquitos and that breeds malaria and west nile, but that doesn't come from the fact that Americans are driving hummers. Its a proven fact that the earth will take care of it self in cycles, don't believe everything you hear in the press just cause it gives them something to write about.

Good question. Perhaps we'll get that answer when Al Gore admits what several scientist involved with an inconvenient truth have already admitted and that is the fact that facts were distorted in that documentary.
