I see these ricans driving around with the pr flag and stickers. If pr is so great maybe you should live there and speak spanish there. I think there may actually be more puerto ricans here in Florida than in puerto rico. Hey if you move back to pr you can live with no fed tax and you can collect all the government money you want.

You have a valid point but Puerto Ricans are not the only people to do this. I have seen hundreds of Colombian and Venezuelan flags. Perhaps they should be flying the American flag, but it seems as though you have a problem with Puerto Ricans, so perhaps you should think about how you come off.

Most of those Puerto Ricans you are talking about were not even born in Puerto Rico. Probably they are 3rd or 4th generation of those who moved in the 1950's.
They are proud of their roots and nationality and display the PR flag.

One problem with your question. Puerto Rico is a territory of America!!! Duh!!! If you don't want them flying their flag then why not tell a Texan not to fly the flag of Texas or a Floridian not to fly Florida's flag. If the U.S. did not want them here they shouldn't have made Puerto Rico a territory thus making them citizens that come and go as they please. So don't blame them. Also, most people fly flags because they are proud of their heritage from that country not because they like the country themselves. What do most rednecks who are not racist say when they are seen flying the confederate flag: "I fly it out of heritage not hate" or "I'm just proud of my roots". Hence, they might not like what the flag represents but they are proud of their roots.

I like my home state a lot (PA), but I have lived in a number of other places due to work and I am going to buy a house in another state. U.S. citizens can live in any state or territory they want. What is your point.

Keep in mind that this isn't your own personal blog and racism isn't welcome in some company, mainly most. These thoughts you can discuss with the men in the white hats.

I know we all get angry sometimes and it's easy for us to blame race or culture, but try and keep an open mind and if your going to point the finger at anyone, point it at yourself.

Thank about it.

Many of them come here for jobs. They have families to support and can not make ends meet on low wages. Many of them are coming north for better pay. Don't know how they stand the cold, leaving that warm tropical island!

Puerto Ricians are American citizens and can live anywhere they chose, just like you.

I don't know how to answer this question. He or She is right. We should not be showing off in a country that isn't ours. This is the same as sombody fron CALIF. living in FLA. showing off the CALIF. flag. We are show offs and we all know that. We should try to be more humble.
