make sure the battery terminals are clean and shiny and the battery cables are tight on both ends , ground and starter. If you have no lights no power is getting out of the battery.

It's very very likely that your main fuse is burned. I've been working for auto parts retail stores for 8 years and I've seen lot of things. People returning batteries because they think they are not loaded (not ready) and what happens is that the positive post has a red plastic cap that you need to remove to connect your car cable to the post. Check that first. If that is not the case, then use a tester in continuity position, so when make touch both ends (red and black cables of your tester) it must sound. Now touch with the end of the tester cable each leg of the fuse at the same time, and if it sounds, the fuse is ok if not you need to use a new fuse (usually they are big and 30, 40 or more amperage). The fuse boxes have inside the cover a diagram with the name of the device the fuse is for.
If after theese steps you don't see any progress, start following wires that connect to the ignition switch.
Sometimes the solution is very easy. Try look at the engine compartment searching for wires loose or not connected.
Look at the negative battery cable, if it's connected to the engine block and well tightened. Get a friend to give a hand. Four eyes can see better than two. Good luck!

A few things come to mind. Firstly, if there's a white build-up around one or both of the terminals then you're probably not getting enough metal to metal contact for the massive amounts of electrons to flow to the starter.
Secondly, if you used a cheap, thin gauged jumper cable you may have not had enough power flowing through the cables to turn the starter.
Thirdly, are you hearing a clicking noise when you turn the key? If not, the solenoid on your starter is dead and it won't engage the starter motor.
I would start at the battery & work my way down the cables. Take a voltage meter and find the voltage of the battery. Less than 10V won't turn the starter. You can pul the caps off of the battery to check the fluid level and fill to the top. So either charge the battery up or get a new one.
It could also be loose connections from the battery to ground (or the chassis of your Jeep) or to the starter itself.
Good luck!

Check all your battery connections and make sure they are clean and tight. Check the entire length of the battery cables to make sure they're not grounding out. If you started it twice already, I doubt the battery is completely dead, but it's possible. Have an auto parts store test the battery and go from there. Having gasoline in it has nothing to do with the battery. A good battery will turn that engine over for quite a while without any fuel.

Dirty or loose battery terminals would do this.... Fix that and check voltage on the battery...if you have at least 12 volts.....Then I would check out the fuse box....You may have blown a major fuse while installing the stereo. IN the future remove the negative battery cable before you even touch a wire to install anything.
If the fuse box isn't the problem...then it may be a fusable link (fuse wire) burned out. That is harder to find. Start at your positive battery terminal and trace that wire...it should go to your starter solenoid. See if you have power to that. And so on..
Did you ground out a wrong wire while installing the radio??? In other words.

If the cabin light does not go on or the radio when you turn it on-it's the battery. Periodically if you have the kind of battery with "cells" you have to fill them with water. But it does sound like the battery. Sorry.

If the lights come on when ur trying to jump it and it wont crank over, the starter could be bad. If u have no lights either, check to make sure the battery terminals are clean and tight.

No if it was just out of gas - you'd still get something out of it.
If jumping the battery doesn't give it any power, then it sounds like an electrical connection somewhere. Youll have to have to get someone to take a look at it.

you probably either have a dead battery or a bad connection on it somewhere causing this to happen, you can take the battery to any parts store and have it checked for free, and they will tell you if its bad, that's what it sounds like, battery's will go bad in a second, but id have that checked first, and then look for any loose or bad connections on it,that too will cause the same thing to happen, good luck with it.
