...there were a separate category for rock and a totally different category for pop? Cuz questions like "Do you like Led Zeppelin?" are mixed in with "Like oh my gosh! what do you think of Hannah Montana's new song?" Maybe it's just me, what do YOU think?

Ok ok, new idea. We separate rock/pop into two categories: "Bands" (ie-Sex Pistols, The Clash) and "People who HAVE bands" (ie-Avril Lavigne, etc.)

The problem is throughout rock history pop has been an inseperable part of it. You can't say the Beatles weren't pop and you can't say Blondie's not rock (unless you only listen to the radio), and the other way around. Too many times too often they get all mingled and mixed up so that you can't really seperate the two.

But in the sense that you mean, I guess mainstream pop/teeny-bopper music has no place next to the Kinks (another heavily pop influenced rock five star band) and such. So maybe a more specific seperate pop area, maybe a top of the charts thing.

And what about questions about the Beatles? The Beach Boys? Big Star?

I think they should separate Rock/Pop and add Metal.
