i have asked it questions and i just don't believe the answers. i have been holding my hand still and it would start moving back and forth really fast & hard. it was weird. it tends to say the same thing when i ask it the same questions. if i change it a little to make the previous question opposite, then the answer i get is opposite. am i getting the answer i want to get or what is to come?

I like silkins storms outlook. If your daughter has a talent, then, its her talent. The dowsing rods, pendulum, or whatever are tools only. If your daughter has no talent, then, the gifts become merely"stuff". "satanic", is a label, and "witchcraft", is a name given to not-scientifically-proven occurences. Each of us have talents, and some people insist on giving "good " or "bad" labels on those talents. Skills, like intelligence, are gifts from God, no matter how humans try to label them.

Why are Christians always linking witchcraft with Satanism??? Especially when, in truth, the two are actually completely DIFFERENT from each other??? The word "witch" is derived from "Wicca", which is an ancient religion (it predates Christianity, in fact) in which magick - witchcraft - IS used in rituals, but NOT for bad; Wiccans use their magick for good only. As Sandra Bullock stated in "Practical Magic", "There's no Devil in the 'craft."

And for the record, true Satanists don't even worship Satan, by the way; they don't even believe in his existence. Satanism is essentially the total absence of all things Christian - or, basically, "If it feels good, do it!" They embrace and fully indulge in the "pleasures of the flesh", whatever they may be, rather than shun them.

Dowsing rods and pendulums are NOT "Satanic"; neither are pentacles/pentagrams. You Christians REALLY need to do some NON-Biblical research into Wicca and Paganism so you're not so ignorant of the facts. (By the way, most Christian holidays and traditions were taken from Paganism in the early years of the Church, and changed to fit into the new religion in order to draw in the "non-believers".)

They are in no way satanic. (And neither is witchcraft by the way, but thats a completely different topic) Dowsing is a way of communicating with god...with whatever god you choose to believe in. Its like a prayer...with props. The answers you receive may very well just be internal, but if so its an answer you already knew anyway. Its just a way of drawing on the energy around you to find answers. If you are a Christian, and by the phrasing of this question I think you are...then you believe that God created everything. He also created that energy. If your daughter has a gift for it, and is spiritually connected to whatever God she believes in, then you shouldn't restrain her from exploring it.

Since ancient times humanity has used dowsing to find things.
If the girl has the gift to be able to dowse then let her use it , if she had the gift of a perfect singing voice would you feel that that gift was of the devil? just because it is less known gift doesn't mean its not a gift.
If you want to believe its a gift of God then so be it.
