You can do corporate background checks to see who "owns" the media. Basically, the government (FCC) owns the media. People say the Jews because many Jews work in the media and have dominated the media in certain respects for many years. It is incorrect to say Jews own it. In fact, Jews don't own much in general compared to other races. Most people like the US media and don't care who is running it because it is the number one entertainment industry in the world.

The Jews have been a scape goat of everything under that sun, I've even seen them blamed for global warming.
The reason, however, has to do with the pro israel stance of the news service. But I also think that is slowly changing as the world and news services now see the heavy hand that they use and the never ending conflicts they seem to support.
Maybe the world needs to look at Israel as an unwelcome guest instead of a right to be there. Just a thought.
Also, the mind of so many simpletons by declaring all of one ethnic or race is all the same or any number of one size fits all sayings is a basic communist principle. For those people, I have one answer, "how does it feel to be more of a communist then an American?" If you noticed, the zealots of both sides of the isle fit that to a tee.
Peace
Jim

It is privately owned by corporations. This idea of the Jews owning the media goes way back to the start of Metro Goldwyn Meyer. They were Jewish and the company they ran was and is still a huge movie making company. MGM was the movie industry back in the 20s on to the 70s+
It is prejudice and racist to say that a certain group or race or faith owns everything.

If the "Zionist Jews" owned the media then why are most of the major media outlets genuinely anti-Israel? The media is owned by corporate moguls. Most outlets have a liberal bias except for Fox News that has a conservative bias.

No one owns the media. The media refers to the written news media, the broadcast news media, internet news outlets and to a lesser degree entertainment companies who broadcast entertainment and informational content.
Firstly, if you're referring to the news media--most of the major networks (ABC, CBS and NBC) are owned by larger corporations that are publicly traded companies--meaning millions of stockholders "own" the companies, from Grannies in the midwest to large institutional investors and all the people who buy stocks from home and institutional investors.
ABC is owned by The Walt Disney Corporation and has been since 1995 (previously owned by "Capital Cities, Inc.); CBS is owned by Westinghouse Electric Companies and has been since 1996; NBC and its cable affiliates (e.g., MSNBC, CNBC, SNBC, etc.) is owned by General Electric and has been since the late 1980s--David Letterman made many jokes during the acquisition when he was still with NBC. Fox Broadcasting is an independent media company, also publicly traded, which owns TV stations and print media. CNN is owned by AOL Time Warner--and as liberal as they've been accused of being was started and run by Ted Turner, a liberal but not Jewish.
Being of Jewish ancestry myself and a former TV and print journalist, I can't say that the majority of my bosses and editors were Jewish. It's true that most were politically liberal--which to many knee-jerk, unexamined conservatives is synonymous with being Jewish.
While I do find it problematic that media editors would try to cover news stories with ANY political bias, that is another topic entirely.
Some vocal conservatives believe that Jewish people wield too much political power in the government and corporate world, but any statistical survey of the ethnic / religious backgrounds of the Boards of Directors of companies owning media outlets would likely not be skewed toward any ethnic group besides Caucasian. It is a broad, unsubstantiated accusation that's easy to hurl and hard to rebuff without specific statistics handy.
The former CEO of Disney, the retired (and purportedly ousted) Michael Eisner was Jewish but left with a trail of problematic and unpopular decisions.
Certainly no one person "owns" the media. Large boards of directors and myriad layers of management make the decisions--both operational and strategic of media outlets in the country.

...I really don't know who owns what in the media. But if it is Jew owned, that's fine with me. I really like seeing God's chosen people do well.
Warm regards,

Yeah, I'm tired of people saying that the media is "liberal": I mean really! Have you watched the news lately?
