whats the square root of 416? how do you figure it out?

sqrt of 400= 20
sqrt of 441=21

416 is between 400-441 so you know it would be between 20-21

416 doesn't have a square root that comes out evenly.

if it did have a square root that came out evenly, for example take 36, the square root is 6, because 6 times 6 equals 36.

Judging by my calculator, square root of 416 is around 20.39

sqrt 416 = sqrt16*sqrt26 = 4sqrt26

seeing though it does not have a whole number square root... the best way is to find the highest square root that its divisible by... like 16

4times square root 26

you can solve this problem on a caculater
by typing in the number and pressing the square root sign
