Thank you for pointing out our short commings...I'm sure you're men are perfect and you have the moral authority to speak as you do.....many DO devalue women and many women have bought into the lie that they must look a certain way in order to have value....but to SOME of us, a woman with Jesus in her heart is the most beautiful woman on earth...and the farther away America goes from God the more you'll see only the value in how a woman looks in our culture....Now as far as President....that WILL happen someday...hopefully not this coming election...not because she's a woman, but because her policies would destroy this great nation.....someday there would be a Margarete Thatcher, or maybe Condi Rice willing to run...and probably win....
In any case be happy you live in your female heaven where ever that may be...and never come to this horrible country...stay where you will be treated like you deserve....

I find it strange that you bring up that you suggest that only "Americans" objectify their women. Women of all cultures are often made into nothing more than objects. What about the Muslim countries were women are often treated as nothing more than chattel and where a man can divorce his wife just by saying "I divorce you" three times? Perhaps you can shed some light on what the man's financial obligation is to those children when he suddenly leaves. What about men being allowed to marry more than one women ? What about Muslim countries where women are covered due to the belief that if men see just a glimpse of skin that they will become confused and sexually tempted. If men so much as see a woman's ankle then they will become overwhelmingly blinded by desire. If women so much as walk around in shorts then the entire world will end and chaos will ensue! There would be a complete state of fitna! Women are not even second class citizens and have to escorted by male family members. What about women not being able to drive cars. What about women being unable to work after their husband dies because they are supposed to be in the home to serve their husband and have no education? What type of freedom is that? Yes, women are objectified. That being said, I would rather have the freedom to be well educated and to actually have a job that I love versus being a prisoner in my husband's home and without an education. At least I have the freedom to read and write and to form my own opinion.
In regards to you comments about Americans not letting a woman be President. Up until now there has only been one woman who has run for Vice President and now Hillary Clinton is running for President. At least that is a step in the right direction. However, I'm voting for the best person for the job and not only based on gender. As much as I would love to vote for a woman President, I would rather have a President that could actually do the job. America may not be completely perfect and hardly any other society is truly perfect either when you get down to it. At least I have the freedom to choose what I want to do with my life and I don't have to worry about "demeaning the family honor" and being stoned to death.

Some Americans might hate women but in reality, those that ‘hate’ women are threatened by them and want them to be subservient to them so they are really afraid of women. How exactly would that make them hypocrites, to be a hypocrite they’d have to claim to love women while hating them. Yes, women can and are objectified by many men and women as well because it makes money and gets the attention of young and old men. Girls are led to believe that their worth is based on their looks by who, other women, specifically their moms. Who does all that makeup, and hair the ‘girly’ stuff, the father no my dear it is the mother or the girl’s friends who are girls, older sisters of their friends, or their friends’ moms. Britney spears is a product of her mother not ‘Americans’ she was crafted and marketed as she was to appeal to young men since they won’t listen to her music as well as young girls who having been brainwashed by their moms and the media need her to look a certain way for her to be ‘cool’. Character and personality really don’t come across in video clips or posters and ad spots so that is why those women who excel in those traits are not known for them. You are right some Americans are afraid to have a woman president, many might just be afraid to have Hillary as our President I know I am, it has nothing to do with her being a woman though I’m sure you won’t believe me. Some Muslim countries still make their women cover their bodies from head to toe and won’t let a woman go out on her own without a man accompanying her. What’s wrong with this picture, well you have latent anger and are misdirecting it at all Americans when it should be reflected back at other women who perpetuate the idea that women need to look a certain way to be worth anything. You also seem confused as to the way America works, which is why you don’t understand the real reasons behind the way things are. Using an example of a Muslim female prime minister when there are many more Muslim countries that treat women like property is another thing ‘wrong with this picture’.

look, I gotta disagree with the woman president thing. Only two women ( including Hilary Clinton) have ever run for president. How many men have run for president? hundreds. There's only actually been one election with a woman running so far, so that just means that maybe that woman just didn't make the cut. That's ok because that was just one person, not the whole female race. And also, it's not just women that are pressed upon their looks, men are also forced to think that they won't be liked unless their some kind of bachelor freak.

Yeah, we have a prejudice against women in power in this country despite the fact one of them (and a black one at that) is one of the richest people in the world, the presidential front runner is a woman (it did take 200 years...how long did it take the Muslims?)
We all know that hot women are exploited in this country (while they make bundles of money) since they are willing to expose themselves and don't have to worry about being stoned or beaten or whatever medieval punishment you have in mind.

I am an American. I love women. I don't recall any women before now actually running for President. I remember one running for Vice President. I don't know where you are from, but I don't care for your tone concerning my country. You don't like us, stay away. I doubt anyone will notice your absence.

If you were American, you wouldn't bother to ask such a ridiculous question.
If your real question (aside from the 'blblblblblalbalbala' silliness) is whether American culture is maternalistic, then the answer is no, it is not. If you are whining because you think a woman should be president because of her gender, then you deserve to be disappointed.

I think you're totally off by saying that Americans are worse than some Middle Eastern countries. I get your point, but you're dead wrong. When's the last time you saw a woman being burned to the stake for entertainment or banned from sports events?
I'm all for a female president, but honestly I still wouldn't vote for Clinton because I can't stand her. I wouldn't vote for Obama either because I have my doubts about him, does that make me racist? I won't vote someone in because they are of the gender or color that I want, which is probably why no female president has existed to date.

You're full of it.
A President should be elected on qualifications, not gender.
You're right. No woman who has chosen to run has yet been good enough to get elected. When the best qualified candidate comes along, who happens to be a woman, she'd get my vote.
