dang, which is the lesser of two evils?
er... i think if there were no other candidates, i'd have to not vote. maybe Obama, as Clinton taking 'cheatin Bill' back confounds me...
isn't there a Pacific Green candidate i can pick??

Issues only?
I'd vote for Obama. I think he is *as a person* a more talented diplomat, willing to hear others input and make wise decisions. I see Hillary as aggressively self-serving at times and fear her impact on the office of presidency.
EDIT: Exactly, you said issues, not personalities. If all things were equal? I'd have a hard time, because while a woman has never held office, neither has an ethnic minority. Both would have dibs in my eyes if it were based on sex and race alone, all other aspects being equal.

Obama (but I am not a woman). Being an optimist, I'd choose the evil I don't know over the evil I know. I don't trust Hillary and it has nothing to do with her sex.
EDIT
Applauds Sarah.
BTW, I am supporting Gov. Bill Richardson in the primaries, the candidate with the most extensive experience and a record as a centrist that would serve him well in the general election - and he's also an ethnic minority.
I would like to support Obama and I hope I can in 4 or 8 years, but I would like to see him gain more experience. So far, I like him a lot though.

i'm voting for hillary. she's a smart, experienced candidate. i would love to see either a woman or a minority become president...it's not about time, it's damn right late! i wish they'd just run together, they'd make a great team.
most polls have always shown that people are "more ready" for a black man than a white woman. we'll see what happens. i wish them both luck, but i really really want to see the other half of the population get into the white house before my death (not that i'm anywhere near that time).
go hillary!

If they held the exact same beliefs and convictions, and made the same campaign promises? Hmm. I don't really see why it would matter either way who I'd choose, I don't know enough about who they are personally.
I'd probably just pass on voting in the primaries, and vote for whichever one made it to the election.
Ember: I've heard this theory that the Clintons married mainly to combine forces politically, and it was mainly a marriage of conveninece. Not sure if it's true, but it might explain why the "affair" wasn't a deal breaker.

Both are too much in my business. To answer what you want to hear though if I go to vote and know nothing about either candidate, I always vote for the woman.

I'm ashamed for the ignorance of my fear mongering fellow Americans.....Obama is not a Muslim and has NO connection to the Muslim religion. His father was raised a Muslim, but did not practice -- his father was an atheist/agnostic.

I plan to vote for Obama if he receives the nomination, *because* of his voting record, his vision and the fact that he seems most sincere.
How about, I don't want to blow this "historic" opportunity? Nor do I think it's safe or worthwhile to gamble on an opportunist who is trying to be all things to all voters. I don't like her, but I would vote for her if she receives the nomination.
Edit: Anyway, despite the fact that Obama is a Christian, what difference would it make if he was Muslim? The audacity and bigotry of some people amazes me...

Although I'd like a woman to be president, I think Obama is more trustworthy, and altogether more likable as a person.

If their platforms and their credibility were identical, I would vote for Hillary. As it stands, I'm going for Obama — he inspires more confidence in me.
