Calif. Fires: Liberals Refusing to Do Controlled Burns? Mother Nature Payback for LifeStyles? Other?

Is liberal California getting hit by big fires because:

1. Liberals refused to allow controlled burns to get rid of undergrowth?

2. Rich liberals living where mother nature intended fires to occur naturally once or twice a century?

You are 0 for 4 -- or 0 for 5 if we're counting basic compassion - which seems to be lacking when you turn a natural disaster into a political attack.

You don't do controlled burns in playgrounds and industrial centers and residential neighborhods -- which is a lot of what's burning. And when you get wildfires every couple of years -- undergrowth is not an issue.

Also, San Diego and Orange County are about about as conservative as you get anywhere in the country -- and anyone who thinks only liberals are hit by brush fires should be ashamed of themselves for trying to turn a natural disaster into a political attack.

If you claim to be conservative -- you're certainly giving your party a bad name. Try having a little compassion instead for the hundreds of thousands of people who were driven from their homes.

Or has this country become so partisan that even natural disasters are used as political stunts to attack people you don't like.

Hey this place really needs help and fast. Right now there are many church groups on site to volunteer at the stadium and other Red Cross stations throughout the effected area. The National Guard are activated and on site, those who don't have families effected by the fire storm. Others from Arizona, New Mexico, and Oregon should already be on standby to aid in the effort. Man, this country rocks. There are really good Americans out there who are volunteering and working the fire.

Burning underbrush during a drought is dangerous. Normally, during periods of drought, burning anything is prohibited. The governor of California is a Republican. Are you saying only liberal's homes burned? Why are there floods, hurricanes, earthquakes, and tornadoes? They are natural phenomena on the earth. Where exactly is it 100% safe to live? Other.
