One of my co-workers is in terrible straits, being without financial means to pay some of her bills.
Does anyone know of some resource organizations they can contact? Any suggestions are welcome.

You can contact WIC (women and children) for vouchers for formula, and dairy products.

i had my son at 23 and a half weeks. 1lb 2oz. truly a miracle

i was working 2 jobs full time and still needed financial help.

WIC, MediCal, and SSI. preemie's get free medical care if you're low income. SSI for sure as well.

other than that, thats about it. those are major contributors to income.

good luck with that. message me on yahoo if you have some more questions

I had a son eight weeks premie and i was able to get medicade and food stamps because of my income. I have also heard of some parents of premies getting social security disability but I think something has to be wrong with the baby.

Try your local chapter of the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Your friend can explain her situation, and they can do fundraisers and things to help cover the medical bills.
